I had to keep reading 'Bloodlines; The Juice Chronicles', as it drew me in and didn't let me go! Pretty much like poor Dak. He was the most down-to-earth, LoL character I have ever read. The story itself was well paced although tended to get bogged down sometimes in repetition and descriptions. If I ever hear or read the word 'allure' again it will be too soon.
But those little inconsistencies aside, Bloodlines was a great story with teasers planted throughout to keep your interest piqued. Jillian and Dak's relationship was a blast and it was refreshing to read that it didn't develop the way one would assume. A witty, dark story that is well worth the read.
